Tomorrow 12/7/09 from 4-6pm is our open mic karaoke. It'll be in CSULA Student Union 3rd floor Pasadena Room. We'll be finishing up the movie Survive Style 5+(last 20 min) and start our karaoke singing. Prepare with a song in mind and you can sing in whatever language you want as long as we can find it or you have the karaoke or sing with vocal if you want. Free drinks and snacks will be provided.

Saturday 12/12/09 is our CSULA Japan Club Karaoke Contest from 330pm-7pm in the CSULA Student Union 3rd floor LA room. We are moving the deadline to submit your song choice to Thurs 12/10/09 ..latest 11:59pm. Make sure song submission is related to Japan and it can be in English and you can sing with vocal if you are unsure. Any question just contact us through our club e-mail or Facebook. For this contest, don't worry about perfection. This is a karaoke contest. It is not a professional singing competition. This event is open to public, you can bring your friends or family too if you want. Free drinks and snacks will be provided.

Fall quarter is about to start for us and what better way to say good bye to summer than in a dark air conditioned box?We'll be in there for three hours singing whatever comes to mind, unless we make a list, of the songs available.So bring yourself, your cash and your list(romanji lyrics) and come have fun!We'll be meeting up in the area in front of the place, if we're not playing ParaPara, and go in before 3 or so. And after, we'll go eat depending on what we're in the mood for.And why plan and invite people almost a month before hand? So y'all can practice!

Spring 2009 meeting + LA Asian Film Festival 2009

For those who are wondering when and where our Japan Club is meeting Spring 2009 quarter

Here's our info:
Where: Studen Union building 3rd floor Montebello Room
When: Mondays 3-5 pm

* May 19 location to be decided and no meeting May 25th because of memorial day and there is a meeting on Monday June 8 of final week.

+++++LA Asian Film Festival 2009 starts 4/30-5/7+++++
Similar to the Japanese Film Festival, LA has its own LA Asian Film Festival. There will be many Asian films shown in different theaters throughout LA.
